Dunkers / Cookie Twists

1/4 C butter
3/4 C sugar
6 large egg yolks
2 tsp almond flavoring
1/4 C water
1 tsp orange zest
3 C flour

Cream butter and sugar together. Beat egg yolks in one at a time.
Add Flavoring, water, and orange zest. Beat til creamy. Slowly
add in the three cups of flour. This will make a dough that is
workable. If it is too dry to roll into a rope by hand add enough
water to moisten it to rollable stage.

Pinch off a peice of dough, roll into a 3/4" rope. Twist and place
on ungreased cookie sheet about 1.5" apart. Bake in a 350 degree
oven 12 to 15 minutes. Cool.

These can be brushed with eggwhite and spinkled with sesame seeds
before they are baked.

Variation: Add a 1/4 cup of sherry.
