Nut Crescents

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts)
sifted powdered sugar

Cream first 3 ingredients and one Tablespoon water. Stir in flour
and nuts and mix well. Shape into crescents and place on an ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes (tops will barely
be browned). Cool on rack and roll in powdered sugar. Makes
approximately 60 cookies
